1) State = None ( show ip ospf neighbor)
--> Check Area No,
--> Check Subnet Mask on Interface
--> Check Interface status (UP/DOWN)
--> Try to ping to 224.0.0.5 and traceroute to 224.0.0.5 check whether it is working or not
--> Check OSPF enabled or not on the interface
--> Check authentication
---> Check Hello and Hold Down Timers
--> Check Network Type
---> Check Area Type
verify by using
show ip ospf interface --- To check whether OSPF is enabled on the interface or not..
debug ip ospf hello --- To check Hello Parameters.
2) State = Down
--> Not receiving or sending hello messages
3) State = Init or Two-Way
---> Same Router-ID
---> OSPF Priority may be Zero on all interfaces.
4) State= Exstart or Exchange
--> MTU Mismatch on the interface
--> Check Area No,
