Management-Only Mode:
--> By Default, Panaroma is configured in Management-Only Mode.
--> The panaroma configured in this mode only used for managing the Palo Alto Firewalls.
--> The panaroma configured in this mode cannot receive the logs forwarded by Palo Alto Firewalls.
--> You need to configure the Log collector of Panaroma or Cloud Logging using cortex needs to be enabled for logging.
--> Used for Small Scale Deployment.
--> Below is the CLI command needs to be executed on the Panaroma for Management-Only Mode:
> request system system-mode management-only
Legacy Mode:
--> The panaroma configured in this mode used for managing the Palo Alto Firewalls as well as receiving the logs from Palo Alto Firewalls.
--> It supports local log collection capabilities.
--> At least one virtual disk needs to be added for receiving the logs from Palo Alto Firewalls.
--> Expanding the log storage capacity of an existing logging disk is not supported, You need to add one more virtual disk to increase the log storage on the Panaroma to receive the logs.
--> Supports only one virtual disk for receiving the logs.
--> This mode is depreciated in PAN-OS 9.0 Versions.
Panaroma Mode:
--> The panaroma configured in this mode used for managing the Palo Alto Firewalls as well as receiving the logs from Palo Alto Firewalls.
--> It supports local log collection capabilities.
--> Atleast one virtual disk needs to be added for receiving the logs from Palo Alto Firewalls.
--> Expanding the log storage capacity of an existing logging disk is not supported, You need to add one more virtual disk to increase the log storage on the Panaroma to receive the logs.
--> Supports upto 12 Virtual disks upto 2 TB in this mode for receiving the logs.
--> Below is the CLI command needs to be executed on the Panaroma for Panaroma Mode:
> request system system-mode Panorama
