VCMP Guests can be present in one of the following states:
Configured State
--> This is the initial state of the VCMP Guests.
--> No Hardware Resources such as CPU/Memory are allocated from VCMP Host to VCMP Guest.
--> If you move the VCMP guest to configured state then whatever the resources allocated in the host for the guest will be deallocated.
--> The existing virtual disk will not be deleted when the guest is moved to the configured state and will be reused when it goes to provisioned state or deployed state.
--> The VCMP Guest is not running when you move the Guest to Configured State.
--> The VCMP guest is in offline mode as there are no resources assigned to it and will not process the traffic received on it.
Provisioned State
--> If you want to change/delete the resources such as adding cores/memory/disk size for the VCMP Guest then you have to use this state.
--> Hardware Resources such as CPU/Memory are allocated from VCMP Host to VCMP Guest when it is running in the Provisioned state.
--> For the first them when you move the newly created guests into provisioned state then the VCMP host creates new virtual disks and Installs the ISO image on them.
--> The VCMP Guest is not running when you move the Guest to Provisioned State.
--> The VCMP guest is in shutdown mode and will not process the traffic received on it.
Deployed State:
--> The VCMP Guest is running when you move the Guest to Deployed State.
--> Hardware Resources such as CPU/Memory are allocated from VCMP Host to VCMP Guest.
--> Always all the guests need to be in a deployed state in order to VCMP Guest to function fully.
--> The VCMP guest is running and will process the traffic received on it.
--> Once the VCMP Guest is in Deployed State then the Guest Administrator can install the Modules such as GTM/LTM/Others in it.
