--> LDP forms MPLS LSP along the shortest path specified by routing table for every destination network.
--> If LSP is not formed between the PE routers along the path specified by routing table then MPLS forwarding may not work properly.
--> There are so many reasons for LSP does not form between PE routers,
i) Configuration Error ii) IGP adjacency is up but LDP session is not up.
--> The main problem behind this problem is there is no synchronization between IGP and LDP.
--> In order to solve this problem we need to implement LDP IGP synchronization.
--> Once we enable LDP IGP synchronization, the routers will not use IGP link until LDP session is up on that link.
--> IGP will advertise the cost of the link to be maximum when LDP session is not up so that the path cannot be used as the best path for forwarding the packets.
--> In order to enable LDP/IGP Synchronization, we need to configure following command in all the routers.
Router(config)# mpls ldp sync
