--> Network Discovery Protocol is used in IPV6 for so many functions
--> NDP is replaced by ARP in IPV6, Because ARP uses Broadcasts which are not supported in IPv6.
--> NDP uses 5 types of messages for their functions
i) NS ( Neighbor Solicitation)
ii) NA ( Neighbor Advertisement)
iii) RS ( Router Solicitation)
iv) RA ( Router Advertisement)
v) Redirect
--> NS and NA are used for finding MAC address when we know IPv6 address.
--> NS and NA also used for Duplicate Address Detection also.
--> RS and RA are used to find Router IP Address.
--> Redirect is used to change Gateway IP address on clients.
--> Once you enable Autoconfig, Routers start sending Default Router IP Address in RA messages, if you want to make particular router as default router for clients in SLAAC
Router (config)# interface e0/0
Router (config-if)# ipv6 nd router-preference high
-->If you want to change Router Advertisement Interval on the Router interface, then configure the following commands
Router(config)# int e0/0
Router(config-if)# ipv6 nd ra-interval 20
