--> Route Tags are used to prevent routing loops which normally occurs when we have mutual redistribution.
--> Generally Redistribution works like this
1) Redistributed route is present in my routing process , If it is no then add into my routing process.
2) If the redistributed route is already present in the routing process then the router will compare AD of the both the processes, it will add better AD into routing protocol.
---> We can prevent routing loops which are occurring because of mutual redistribution by using two methods.
1) Changing the AD value. ( Not recommended)
2) Using Route Tags
--> In order to configure Route Tags we will use route map
Router(config)# route-map eigrp2ospf deny 10
Router(config)# match route-tag 101
Router(config)# route-map eigrp2ospf permit 20
Router(config)# set route-tag 100
