--> Basically Proxy ARP allows the communication between two devices on two different subnets without configuring the default gateway.
--> If Proxy ARP is not configured on the routers then we need to assign the default gateway in all layer 2 devices to provide communication between two different subnets.
--> By default on Cisco Routers Proxy ARP is enabled.
--> To disable Proxy ARP, we need to configure this command.
Router(config)# interface fa0/1
Router(config-if)# no ip proxy-arp
--> To check whether Proxy ARP is enabled or not on the interface we have to use following command
Router# show ip interface fa0/1 | include proxy-arp
--> Enabling Proxy ARP on the router increases security risks and increases ARP traffic on the network.
