S1: When a host want to join any particular multicast group it will send IGMP Report Message to " All hosts Multicast Address " = 224.0.0.1
S2: Then Router is going to send IGMP Query Message to " All hosts Multicast Address " = 224.0.0.1 for every 60 seconds to know whether hosts are interested to receive multicast traffic or not.
S3: When hosts in the group receive IGMP Query Message from the Router, they will start count down timer between 1 to 10 seconds which is not configurable. If countdown timer reaches to 1 only one host is going to send Report Message, instead of all hosts are sending Report Message to the Router. This is called as Report Suppression used to save the bandwidth.
S4: If the router has not received Reports message from the hosts after sending some Queries then it turn off the sending of multicast on that interface.
