Interview Question1: In the below diagram, Router R2 is configured with EIGRP AS 100, Router R3 is configured with EIGRP AS 200 and Router R1 is configured in both AS 100,200. Here R2 and R3 advertising same network 192.168.1.0/24 to R1 router, Router R1 will accept the network from which Router R2 or R3?
Answer: Router R1 will accept the network from R2 router... Whenever the router is receiving same network from two different AS in EIGRP, it will consider lowest AS number.... In the diagram Lowest AS number is AS 100, i.e it takes the network from R2 router
Interview Question: In the below diagram, Router R2 is configured with OSPF Process ID 1, Router R3 is configured with OSPF Process ID 2 and Router R1 is configured in both Process ID 1,2. Here R2 and R3 advertising same network 192.168.1.0/24 to R1 router, Router R1 will accept the network from which Router R2 or R3?
Answer: Router R1 will accept the network from which it is learning first, If R1 is receiving the network from R2 router first then it will not take from R3 router and viceversa..

Here R2 and R3 advertising same network 192.168.1.0/24 to R1 router, Router R1 will accept the network from which Router R2 or R3?
Ans: Router R1 will accept network from Router R2 because of longest prefix length ....
Best Path Selection Criteria
